Psyche is an intimate, atmospheric film exploring memory, identity, and emotional transformation. Set within a fluid visual language, the film moves between reality and perception, capturing fragments rather than fixed narratives.
Synopsis
In Psyche, a surreal, emotionally charged drama set in Los Angeles, rising screenwriter Atlas appears to have it all after her debut film’s premiere, but internally, she’s unraveling. A near-death experience and a disorienting night out trigger a descent into a dreamlike realm, where she confronts spiritual exploitation, inner fears, and forgotten memories. Guided by a mystical figure, first rejected, then embraced, Atlas navigates a transformative journey through symbolic landscapes and childhood flashbacks. Emerging with clarity and creative rebirth, she returns transformed, carrying a deeper truth she can no longer ignore.
Behind The Scenes
Behind the scenes of Psyche was an intimate and exploratory process, shaped by collaboration, experimentation, and emotional presence. The production unfolded across carefully chosen Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Baltimore locations. The cast and crew worked in close rhythm, allowing intuition to guide performances and visual language. Rather than rigid structure, the process embraced fluidity, capturing fragments of emotion, memory, and atmosphere as they naturally emerged. These behind-the-scenes moments reflect the spirit of Psyche itself: reflective, raw, and deeply human.
Many of the moments captured behind the scenes emerged organically between takes through quiet exchanges, emotional stillness, movement, texture, and fragments of lived experience that ultimately informed the emotional language of the film itself. These images offer a glimpse into the intimate and immersive world that shaped Psyche from the inside out.
